St Clare's Cultural Carnival
We had a great day representing The Americas for the St Clare's Cultural Carnival.

We did projects on North America, South America and on Brazil, where some of our students are from.
We took over Ms McLoughlin's room and decorated it in country flags and we proudly hung our projects on the walls. We were very lucky that some Brazilian parents brought in some of their traditional foods for us to taste. We tried coxinha, pao de queijo, pastels with meat and cheese, bolo de cenoura and brigadeiros. They were really tasty!!! We also had some crunchy Mexican nachos.
The two sixth classes took turns talking about North and South America and each time our Brazilian students talked about their own country.
To finish with a bang, we did a typical North American line dance.
We would like to give the Brazilian parents a huge shout out, for give up their time and effort to represent their vibrant community so well. We were very lucky to have you helping us today and I think that all the children in St Clare's will fondly remember visiting the "Brazil" room! :)
